BEWARE OF THE WAGES OF UNRIGHTEOUSNESS

Then Daniel was brought in before the king. The king spoke, and said to Daniel, "... I have heard of you, that the Spirit of God is in you, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom are found in you. ... that you can give interpretations and explain enigmas. Now if you can read the writing and make known to me its interpretation, you shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around your neck, and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom.” Then Daniel answered, and said before the king, “Let your gifts be for yourself, and give your rewards to another; yet I will read the writing to the king, and make known to him the interpretation. Daniel 5:13‭-‬14‭, ‬16‭-‬17 NKJV

One of the potential pitfalls along the pathway of every child/servant of God that is capable of bringing a sudden end to our life, ministry or career is an inordinate desire for material wealth. Unfortunately, only a very few people can resist this temptation.
It becomes very easy for any anointed child/servant of God to fall into the snare of the Devil when they cannot distinguish between the blessings of God and wages of unrighteousness. God's purpose for our giftedness and anointing is not for our selfish and personal gains. Rather, God endows us with grace for His glory, honour and for drawing the souls of men to His Kingdom.
When men begin to place material blessings before you as an inducement or motivation to accept the invitation to use God's grace freely given to you for His glory and the blessing of mankind, wisdom demands you despise the offer of the rewards or gifts this world can give and go on to do what has given you the ability to do.
The enemy's plan against you is to have you and reduce you to mere chaff. God has reserved for you a rich and lasting reward both to have and enjoy not only in heaven but also here on earth. Your promised reward will come in God's way, by His means, and in His time without any addition of sorrow and regrets to it.
You cannot follow in the way of Balaam and end up with the lasting glory, honor, and majesty of Daniel. Therefore, beware of Satan's snare. I pray the Lord will help you to be sensitive to divine signals as you navigate through the dangerous bends of life, ministry or career in Jesus' name.
